Boxes in the attic is okay - at least you are not paying for that storage, endlessly, each year, for really no good cause - like me.

Although....keeping boxes of books in a whole other country...might not be a great plan. Books are so fragile and all the heat, cold, rodents, moisture...you may not have actual books left when you ever get back to them! :-)

Now that we've moved into our RV, we also have a storage in CA at twice the price. I think it never ends. I really have a desire to get the goods down to the bare minimum and stop acquiring more!

Our plan, such as it is...to try to craiglist most of the things we are storing. At some point. Stuff. [sigh]

I don't have storage in another state but I have boxes in my attic that I moved from the UK to the States when I lived there 18 years ago. And then back to the UK 15 years ago and they're still sitting in the attic unopened Mostly books I think. Talk about out of sight out of mind.

Well darn it all, but it turns out we could not afford to make a run to Arizona right now. So I still need to get out there and empty my storage some day.

Does anyone else have this kind of problem? Storage in another state, things you haven't seen in years? What have you done about it?
