Sounds like you have a good handle on this RV thing. It's a big possibility that we'll be moving back into our RV for an extended period of time. One thing I did learn from the last long trip (6 months) is that crafting of any kind, especially sewing, is a bad thing. So I'll stick to books and computer for entertainment.

I like Greg's response aboout hammocks. You could hang a very small one, like the children's toys' ones, in an out of the way place, high to the ceiling.

I heard of a lady who pulled a trailer behind (small one) just for all her books. Another used a toy-hauler.

Still not sure what kind of bin will work for us for the kitchen wastes, although the compost bucket on the platform will be a part of the recycling center Dan is making for me. This time I won't allow my lack of space to interfere with my need to compost. :-)

Still not sure where to keep my yoga mat and brick.

Brilliance, Greg. I will look into that. Do you have photos of your sailboat and RV? Any more hints about how to store things would be very appreciated.

Hey Jillybean,

When Shaundy and I were living on our sailboat and then in an RV we used 'gear hammocks' to store clothing etc. They worked very well and allow you to use otherwise unusable space for storage. They are available at WestMarine.com
